Wernigerode
The half-timbered town of Wernigerode should not be missing on your holiday plan. Worth seeing is the beautiful town hall, the beautiful old half-timbered houses of the city center and of course the castle. The castle can be reached on foot or with the Wernigerode Castle Railway, already in the train you will learn interesting facts about the city and its history. On the edge of Wernigerode there is a Baumkuchen café with a small exhibition about the history and spread of Baumkuchen. Blankenburg
A city with charm as a former garrison town and now a spa town. Dreamlike baroque parks and gardens, medieval and baroque architecture, modern spa and wellness facilities. Domstadt Halberstadt
