- Excursion destination of the Hotel Forelle -
There are a lot of sights in the Harz Mountains. We have put together a small selection for you here. On the one hand, there are the Brocken and the Hexentanzplatz, a must for every visitor to the Harz Mountains. On the other hand, you will also find stalactite caves and show mines in the Harz Mountains.
On the other side of the Rosstrappe you can take the lift from the valley station. Almost everyone knows the Rosstrappe from the legend of knights Bodo and Brunhilde - and if you don't know it yet, then it's high time for a visit.
Tip:
We have also put together an arrangement for you in cooperation with the Borckenwirt.
Tip:
In the Goethe Hall you can experience performances in front of the dreamlike natural scenery. The Hermann Cave was not discovered until 1866. But here, too, guided tours take place daily.

Brocken
An experience of a special kind is, of course, the Brocken - the highest in the north. With a height of 1142 m, you have a unique view of the Harz Mountains on a clear day. At its foot rise the Ilse, Bode, Ecker and Oker. You can climb the Brocken on foot or you can take the Harz narrow-gauge railway up there. Show mines
A visit to the Drei Kronen & Ehrt Mine or in the Schaubergwerk Büchenberg should not be missing. The mines will show you the hard work of the miners and the difficult conditions under which they had to work underground. You can still see the technology they used to do the work. Highly recommended. With the Kremser to the Devil's Wall
